Valley Girls Vintage Market and Red Door Farm held their vintage sales this past Saturday. What a lovely day!! My daughter and I headed out from Maple Ridge in time to be there for the 10:00 opening…..ok, so we got there before 10, I admit I love being first in line!! Rain was forecasted but it turned out to be a beautiful day to visit all these wonderful vendors!! Our first stop was the Valley Girls Vintage Market. Frances, from The Nostalgic Nest hosted the market in her gorgeous backyard. It was a perfect setting for it! Everyone was so cheery, and all the vendors had wonderful treasures ready and waiting for shoppers to arrive.
Here is Joanna from Cottage Kisses (http://www.etsy.com/shop/CottageKisses) . Nothing but smiles from this wonderful lady!! Maybe you saw the picture I posted on Facebook a short while ago, about my new green “frog” for my desk, well that was from Joanna! I noticed she had another one similar to it at this market. I wonder if someone scooped it up??
Ken & Lisa from The Rustic Gate (http://www.facebook.com/TheRusticGate) had a beautiful selection of furniture…I am loving the white and teal combination!
Colleen from Sweet Mangarae (https://www.facebook.com/SweetMangarae) had a beautiful collection of items!
Isn’t that the cutest little owl??
Janice, from Jan’s Vintalicious (https://www.facebook.com/JansVintaliciousCollectibles?ref=ts&fref=ts) had a booth full of fantastic vintage items. My daughter was eyeing up the two beautiful sewing baskets that Jan had just found.
Jeanne, from Salvage Style (http://www.salvagestyle.net/) had her wonderful collection of vintage magnets, notepads, jewelry and cards! You could spend a lot of time standing and looking at all the different pictures on these items. So much fun!!
She also had a table full of goodies…I love the large spool!!
And some old airplane parts!! How cool is that?
It was so wonderful to see Tracey, from Raggy Girl Vintage! (https://www.facebook.com/pages/raggygirlvintage/162066930536644) She always has beautiful items and she is just so lovely to talk with.
Loved that door and the window frames!!
Here is a closer look at the door…and check out the color of that bucket!!!
This is one of Frances’ favorite finds!! She could have sold it many times throughout the years, but she is not going to part with it!! Can’t you just picture some little boy playing with that truck?? What a great color too!!
Allison and I were ready to re-do her bedroom when we saw all these gorgeous pieces that Frances, from The Nostalgic Nest (https://www.facebook.com/NostalgicNest) had done! The bed, the lights, the nightstands, the dresser, the trunks, agh!!! We loved it all!!!
This is the most beautiful table and chair…notice how the back of the table folds down?
Goodies, and more goodies for your kitchen!!
I love this belted coat! Very classy!!
Well after shopping and chatting with everyone here, Allison and I headed off down the street to Red Door Farm!! ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Red-Door-Farm/164637970235532?ref=hl) We had to go and visit with Cheryl and see what we could find!!
Walking along the path to the cottage there were lots of goodies to grab along the way!!
Yummy!!
Yellow bowls…my favorite!!!
Cheryl has a beautiful collection of pillows and blankets inside her cozy cottage.
I would love to just sit at this table and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere that she has created.
I love that green metal box, and look at that old cooler!! That would be fun to use on the patio to keep drinks cold!!
Allison couldn’t leave without this darling little bag made by Cheryl. There is even lace on it that was her grandmother’s!! Allison also found a vintage book on Friendship, full of cute poems that she is looking forward to sharing with her friends. I am tickled pink that she is into the “Vintage World” !!
Well hopefully you had a chance to make it out to these sales and do a little shopping of your own….but if not you will have a chance to see many of these wonderful vendors in September at The Olde Farmhouse Vintage Market!!! (https://www.facebook.com/events/148745518651654/?ref=22)
Thank you everyone for a wonderful Saturday filled with treasures and good company!!!

Hmm is anyone else experiencing problems with the pictures on this
blog loading? I’m trying to determine if its a problem on my end or if it’s the
blog. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for this wonderful write up, Leah !! Always love seeing you come as a customer to the markets…. and Allison looked like a true Farm Chick !
Loved your pictures of our booths and Cheryl’s displays at her Red Door Farm Market on the same day. It made me wish I could have sneaked out to shop.
Can’t wait for “The Olde Farmhouse Vintage Market” on September 28th !! Being amongst all those amazing vendors following their passion and the customers who appreciate our eclectic love of Vintage, Rustic and re-purposed items is one of my highlights of the year !
Mark your calendars, everyone !!
