Are you ready for an amazing day of shopping at the market this Saturday? Do you have something specific you are looking for or just out to find that special “something”? Here are our thoughts on what you might want to bring with you!!

1. Family and friends you love to shop with!! The more the merrier and it makes the car ride more fun!!

2. Wear layers!! If you are an “early bird” it might be chilly waiting in the line up :)

3. Re Usable shopping bag or cart. These help you keep your hands free for more shopping!!

4. Measuring Tape to make sure your item is a perfect fit :)

5. A vehicle large enough for that “surprise” find. You do not want to have to make your friends walk home….but you will!!!

6. CASH!! Most of our vendors transactions are as vintage as the market!!

Whether you are “old hat” to markets or a “newbie” it is sure to be a fun filled shopping adventure. And to top it off,  for the non shoppers and for those who start to feel a little “peckish”, there is the “Roosters Corner” !! The Runway Cafe will be open, offering food and drinks to get you through the day!!

We are so excited and can not wait to see all of you!!!

We love chalkboards…alot!! There are so many things that you can use to turn into one, and we have been busy doing just that.

For this old cabinet door we used Memphis Blue from CeCe Cauldwell on the frame. We are so happy with how it turned out!!

This one was a mirror, but don’t you think it looks better as a chalkboard?!! There are more that we have, but we are saving them for you to see at the market. It is getting closer and we are busy getting everything ready for you. Hope you have June 23rd marked on your calendar!!

The Painting Begins…

April 17th, 2012 | Posted by Leah in Projects | Re Purpose Re Use - (3 Comments)

In the last week we have been able to “squeeze” in some time to start working on our projects! It also gave us a chance to use a new style of paint for us.  We started with a small side table, some cutting boards and a paper towel holder.

There are so many fun colours to choose from, but for these projects we chose Vintage White.

You do not need to strip or sand your project before you paint!! So exciting !! Their clear wax was not sticky and buffed up beautifully. We are so happy with how our items have turned out, you really need to try it !!

This is going to be the start of a beautiful relationship with CeCe Caldwell paints!! We are having so much fun using this paint on our projects. It covers wonderfully, is easy to work with and the best part…no VOC’s, non-toxic and no odor. For more information about this amazing paint and a list of all their colors and products check out www.cececaldwells.com.

Something to Share

March 29th, 2012 | Posted by Leah in Projects | Re Purpose Re Use - (0 Comments)

Good Morning!! While we are waiting to finish up some projects, we thought that we would like to share something with you.  Leah’s sister, Tanya Fehr, sent some wonderful pictures of things in and around her home.  Tanya has an amazing eye and you can see that through her pictures!!

This barbwire fence surrounds the acreage that Tanya and her family call home.

Tanya already had the shelf, so she added some beautiful knobs and created storage for her jewelry!! Fabulous ideas!!

Hope these pictures inspire you as much as they did us!! Is there a shelf that you might have lying around that could use a transformation? Let us know!!
